Post-UTME Preparation Guide: How to Get Ready for University Screening
By the PassSpark team · 2026-10-22 · Post-UTME, Study plan
Post-UTME is where many students lose admission after scoring well in UTME. A short, focused plan can help.
1. Find your university's current format
Go to your university's official admissions page. Note the date, subjects, number of questions, whether it is online or on campus, and how Post-UTME combines with your UTME and O'level results.
2. List your subjects
Most screenings test English plus the subjects tied to your course. Write them down and rate each from 1 to 5 for confidence.
3. Build a 3-week plan
- Week 1: revise the weakest topics in each subject.
- Week 2: practise full sets for your university's subjects, one year at a time.
- Week 3: timed mock sessions, then fix the topics you still miss.
4. Practise the right style
Different universities favour different question styles. Practising sets built for your target school helps you meet the typical difficulty and wording.
5. Exam day
Arrive early with every required document, read each question fully, and flag hard ones instead of spending minutes on them.
