Answer: B. 7/10

There are 7 non-blue counters out of 10 counters altogether, giving a probability of 7/10.

3. In a Cartesian plane, A has position (2, -1) and B has position (-3, 4). What is the vector AB?

  4. (5, 3)

Answer: C. (-5, 5)

Vector AB is found by subtracting the coordinates of A from those of B, giving (-5, 5).

4. What is the image of the point (3, -2) after reflection in the y-axis?

  4. (-3, -2)

Answer: D. (-3, -2)

Reflection in the y-axis changes the sign of the x-coordinate only, so the image is (-3, -2).

5. Point Q is southeast of point P. What is the bearing of Q from P, measured clockwise from north?
